At LiveWell Camas, we believe in the transformative power of movement to support whole-person well-being. As a nonprofit Yoga & Movement Studio, we are committed to providing inclusive, accessible classes that serve individuals and families of all ages and abilities. We are currently seeking 1099 Independent Contractors to join our team and contribute to our mission of making movement accessible for all.
Qualifications
We’re looking for instructors who:
Are certified to teach in their specialty and embrace the importance of practicing diverse forms of movement, recognizing how different modalities connect and complement one another.
Value purposeful, approachable, and alignment-based instruction that can be adapted to meet the needs of a wide variety of clients.
Are aware of and committed to inclusive teaching practices, fostering a welcoming and accessible environment for all participants.
Have a genuine curiosity about participants’ desires and motivations, ensuring a personalized and thoughtful approach to teaching.
Are organized and able to effectively plan and execute engaging, inclusive classes.
Can provide proof of current CPR/AED certification and liability insurance.

Responsibilities
As an independent contractor you will:
Be a student of your own practice, continually exploring mindfulness, movement diversity, and humility to enrich your teaching and personal growth.
Take responsibility for your own class preparation, scheduling, and execution, aligning with our nonprofit mission to make movement accessible for all.
Design and lead scalable classes that accommodate a diverse community, including individuals with varying abilities, backgrounds, and experiences.
Use clear verbal and non-verbal cues to safely and effectively guide participants.
Encourage self-inquiry, self-reflection, and personal agency in participants, empowering them in their movement journeys.
Foster a sense of community by modeling curiosity, mutual respect, and inclusivity in every interaction.
Support our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility by embracing and practicing our core values and Code of Conduct.
Follow studio policies and procedures while helping to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
Honor time by starting and ending classes according to the schedule, respecting both participants and fellow instructors.

Compensation:
Starting rates are competitive with WA state and based on years of experience, with opportunities for attendance bonuses beyond the base rate.
Instructors have the flexibility to offer classes ranging from 45 to 90 minutes, allowing you to tailor your teaching to best serve your participants and align with your personal style.
